"Pupils are self-assured learners and this helps to prepare them well for the future." Ofsted, 2007.
"Pupils enjoy most lessons because they learn within a secure framework and are challenged to work hard and do their best ... Pupils work hard and are keen to succeed." Ofsted, 2007.
Other subjects
Extra-core subjects include history, geography, information technology (IT), French, music, art, physical education (PE) and citizenship. Through these subjects, pupils develop skills in communication, critical thinking, creative thinking and presentation as well as an appreciation of their place in the world. Our emphasis is always on stimulating interest in the subject through class discussion, project work and visits (see Outings).
Our teaching of IT benefits from a well equipped computer suite. We also employ a specialist French teacher, Mme Hulbert, who teaches each class in the junior school (Preps 1 to 4) weekly.
